Mangawhai Tavern Handle & Wine Club introduced for the locals in December 2008 has grown very quickly

with over 160 members and  each Wednesday from 5.30pm - 8.00pm members meet

and socialise in our revamped 'club lounge bar'.  

 Plenty of couches to relax in and enjoy the variety of entertainment,

 big screen viewing and the ambiance of an historic 'country pub'.

There is a Bar & Food Tab draw and prizes as well as other activities.  

A reminder that the Tavern has two Courtesy Vehicles, call 431 4505 to book.

During the past three years improvements have included:

a revamped lounge bar and general upgrade of the tavern. 

The Garden bar has just been turned into - 'Palm Garden'

with tall Palm trees and over looking the water and sand dunes.

A new lighting system creates a unique atmosphere when dining and for band nights,

 a club atmosphere.  Designed and installed by Peter van Gent Production Company an expert in the industry,

 the lighting effects are magic.

 Come dine with mood lighting, or dance at the tavern to disco style lighting complete
with a huge mirror ball sparkling the night away.

Spectacular green lights illuminate the beautiful trees surrounding the property on the waters edge.  The green glow can even been seen as you come over the hill into Mangawhai.  They complete the 'Magical Mangawhai' image of a truly Historic Icon for the area. 

Enjoy sport's live on our huge 12' x 7' screen the largest screen in the area.

 Remember - the Mangawhai Tavern is 'Your Local Live Music Venue'.
